Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) which means they get a free school dinner until they leave our school. If your household income is below £16,190 and you are in receipt of certain benefits you may be entitled to Free School Meals – this is different to UIFSM. If you’re eligible for Free School Meals your child will receive free milk when they turn five (when costs usually apply) and they will be able to go on school trips free of charge (in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). At Hallcroft Infant & Nursery School we also give Free School Meals children a free set of uniform – a polo shirt and sweatshirt/cardigan. We get extra funding for your child and use the money to provide extra learning support for them in school.
