Hallcroft Infant And Nursery School

Addressing the aims of the

School Sport Agenda

We aim to improve the quality of provision for PE and school sports by:

Increasing staff skill and confidence levels.

Increasing pupil participation in a wider variety of out of school sports:

Increasing staff skill and confidence levels:

We have addressed this by staff attending training from Jenny Moseley and work with the coaches from Retford Gymnastics Club.

We have also been fortunate enough to be part of the Elizabethan Family Collaboration, which has  enabled us to work with specialist PE teachers at the multi skills and dance festivals.

Teaching Assistants who also work as mid-day supervisors  have received training from Jenny Moseley to enable them to provide a range of physical activities and games at lunch time.

Increasing pupil participation in a wider variety of out of school sports:

All  full time pupils at Hallcroft Infant School have had the opportunity to take part in free after school sports clubs at school.

The children have been able to try: rugby,  cricket, multi skills and football which are run by our Doncaster Rovers coaches as well as accessing our existing multi-skills sports club.  We are also able to offer a Gymnastics Club run by coaches from Retford Gymnastics Club.  Once the Covid restrictions allow we aim to provide more after school clubs this year.
